Lynn Haven Stormwater Master Plan

The City of Lynn Haven hired Panhandle Engineering to develop a Stormwater Master Plan. This planning document was prepared to help the City identify key problem areas and funding priorities for numerous drainage improvement projects throughout the City. This effort included hydraulic modeling of approximately 7,500 acres to determine functional capacity of the existing major drainage channels across the City. Testing of numerous options for drainage improvements helped identify priority projects for the City, many of which are currently seeking funding through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) administered by FEMA. Several of these projects have been completed, reducing the flood risk for the nearby commercial and residential properties.
